About Me
Welcome to the Fish Finding blog! My name is Bradley, I'm from Montreal, Canada and I'm addicted to hunting down the next new species of fish. At the time of writing this, I'm 25 and working as an Environmental Technician for a mine in Nunavut.
Thus far, I've caught 361 species of fish and an additional 15 subspecies, hybrids, strains, etc. Of those species, 337 (~93%) were caught on hook and line. Most of them were caught all across Canada and parts of the United States but I've slowly started exploring countries in other parts of the world as well. The graph and map below show the total number of new species I caught each year and where I caught them.
I'm not sure why I started species hunting, but I've always liked listing and collecting things. It all started with a desire to catch every fish in my book of Quebec freshwater fishes and kinda escalated up from there. So far, I've caught 110/112 of those QC fish, so I'm getting close. Anyway, hope you enjoy the blog :) Subscribe if you want to be notified when I post new stories, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
